Technical fabric
A technical fabric or smart material has the ability to interact with the environment and/or provide responses to external stimuli. As an example, a smart material is one that, when exposed to an external stimulus such as a change in temperature, humidity, light, pressure, etc., is capable of responding A traditional material wouldn't interact with the environment.
This type of fabric is made from polyester threads. Technical fabrics are specially designed to filter sunlight and thus reduce the temperature beneath the canvas, allowing visual comfort and protecting us from UV rays. They allow a high level of breathability that prevents the buildup of heat beneath their surface
This type of fabric is the most demanded today due to its versatility and comfort.
Within the category of technical fabrics, we have micro-perforated ones, which, as the name suggests, have small perforations allowing heat evacuation, and waterproof PVC ones that lack perforations and are specially designed to withstand rain.
